Handbrake is an application that lets you transcode a DVD to let you view it on other devices. Handbrake is very easy to use, you just specify a DVD folder or an ISO file name. The DVD needs to be unprotected so you have to rip it using something like DVDFab. After you have specified the source, you specify the output profile and then may either start the transcoding or queue the job and add more jobs.
Handbrake has a lot of output profile for different devices such as iPod, iPhone, PSP, PS3 and Xbox 360. There are also a number of output profiles for H.264 and MPEG4.
You also have the possibility to set your own parameters for the transcoding.
