Configure Xbox 360 on your LAN
To configure Xbox 360 on your Local Area Network follow the steps below.
1. Connect your Xbox 360 to the router
You should connect the Ethernet port of the Xbox 360 with one of the LAN port of your router through an Ethernet cable. Power on the Xbox without a CD in the tray and the Xbox Dashboard should appear.
2. Select Settings and press A on the controller.
3. When the Xbox Live screen appears, select Network Settings and press A on the controller.
4. When the Network Settings screen appears, select IP Addresses and press A.
5. IP address
Under Configuration, select Automatic and press A on the controller. Take note that the IP Address being shown will be the Xbox’s IP Address. Press B to return to the previous screen.
6. When the Network Settings screen appears, select DNS Servers and press A.
7. Under Configuration, select Automatic and press A on the controller to save the changes. Press B to return to the previous screen.
Step 8:
When the Network Settings screen appears, select PPPoE Settings and press A.
Step 9:
Under Configuration, select Off and press A on the controller to save the changes. Press B to return to the previous screen.
Once the Network Settings appears, select Connect and press A to test the connection.
